You should consult your family doctor if you experience the following symptoms:

Respiratory symptoms:

• Persistent sore throat, especially if accompanied by hoarseness or difficulty swallowing.
• Persistent or severe cough that does not go away.
• Nasal congestion and severe runny nose that make breathing difficult.
• Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, even at rest.
• Increased body temperature, especially if there are signs of fever.

 

Cardiovascular manifestations:

• Chest discomfort or pain, a feeling of pressure or extraneous sounds in the heart area.
• Attacks of tachycardia, arrhythmia or other irregularities in the heart rhythm.
• Decrease or increase in blood pressure, causing dizziness or weakness.
• Heartburn that is not related to food and a feeling of pain in the chest, which may indicate a heart problem.

 

Gastrointestinal problems:

• Nausea attacks, frequent vomiting or a feeling of discomfort in the stomach.
• Long-term or recurring digestive disorders: diarrhea, constipation, heartburn or severe belching.
• Abdominal pain that does not go away or cramps in the intestines.
• Unexplained weight loss, which may signal a serious digestive disease.

 

Musculoskeletal symptoms:

• Joint, lower back or leg pain that impairs mobility.
• Muscle discomfort or a feeling of heaviness in the legs that interferes with daily activities.
• Feeling of weakness or sprained ligaments.

 

Nervous and mental manifestations:

• Regular headaches or severe dizziness.
• Chronic fatigue, daytime sleepiness or insomnia at night.
• Anxiety attacks, mood swings, depression or increased irritability.

 

Skin and allergic reactions:

• Rashes, itching or irritation on the skin that does not go away.
• Skin discoloration, dark spots or new moles.
• Allergic reactions such as swelling or reactions to insect bites.
