How to prepare for a gynecologist consultation?

Write down the dates of the start and duration of your last menstruation. Remember the duration of the cycle, pain, abundance of discharge and other important nuances. - Prepare a list of complaints or symptoms that concern you.
If you have the results of previous tests, ultrasound or conclusions from other doctors, take them with you. If your visit to the doctor is scheduled for the first half of the day, our experts advise you to be on an empty stomach, then, if necessary and prescribed by the doctor, it will be possible to take tests or some instrumental studies.ʼ - Maintain personal hygiene
Take a shower on the day of the visit, but do not douche - this may affect the test results. It is better to refrain from using vaginal gels, deodorants or other products.

- Abstain from sexual contact
It is advisable to avoid sexual intercourse 1-2 days before the appointment. This will help preserve the microflora and ensure the accuracy of the test results. - Do not use vaginal medications
Stop using vaginal suppositories, ointments or other medications 48 hours before the examination (unless the doctor has indicated otherwise). They can distort the tests. - Choice of clothing
Choose comfortable clothing that is easy to remove or unbutton (skirt, dress or comfortable pants). Also, for your convenience, the gynecologist's office has disposable skirts.
