Special electrodes are placed on the patient’s body, and the signals read with their help are displayed on paper or film. The result is a graph – an electrocardiogram.
What is the preparation before an ECG of the heart in children?
Electrocardiography (ECG) does not require any special preparation. It is advisable to rest quietly for 15-20 minutes before the study.
What are the contraindications for performing an ECG on children?
There are no absolute contraindications to performing an ECG. The study can be performed on absolutely all patients.
How often can an ECG be done on children?
This functional examination method is completely safe, so it can be performed in an unlimited number of times as directed by a doctor. For preventive purposes, it is recommended to perform this examination every 6 months.
